Top Tips For Hair Growth

Evening!!!

So I'd thought I'd write a little blog about some tips for hair growth, everyone has there own hair type, so not all of them will work, so I'm just gonna tell you a few that have worked for me!

1. DO NOT wash your hair everyday! This is one for everyone, I know it sounds kinda gross, but there is no need to wash your hair daily. By washing daily, your hair will be stripped of natural oils, I'm not saying don't go weeks without washing, maybe 3 days, this gives your hair time to rejuvenate the oils for its healthy condition! It also stops hair from drying out!

2. Try not use heat. I know for most people this will be the hardest one to give up, it was definitely mine! I love my Remington's and GHD's, but I haven't used them for a month, already I'm seeing better condition of my hair and an increase in growth. If you do have to put heat on your hair, invest in a well recommended heat protectant; a spray, mouse or a serum.

3. Eat plenty of protein. Hair is made out of a protein called Keratin, the more protein you eat the more keratin produce, therefor more hair growth. Ideal foods are; red meat, fish, beans, lentils.

4. Give it a little TLC. Treat your hair like a baby, don't brush it all the time, don't over do it, don't tie it back tightly or the hair will snap and break. Give it a little care, invest in a hair mask, or make a homemade one or a little massage to stimulate the follicles!

Hope these 4 help, as I pick up more little tips I'll makes post them on here! What's your tip to keep your locks healthy?

Product Review: Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment

Evening all!

So there is a power cut, so I thought now is a good chance to jot down a few of the products I've been using. The first one is the Lee Stafford miracle grow, I bought it from Boots for £7.99, as it's an average size pot and I thought I'd give it ago and if it didn't do anything I haven't lost out, I've seen many people rave about the product so I thought I'd give it a go!

The product, as you can see is for hair that never grows past certain length, which is one of my main problems when growing out my locks, it gets to just below my shoulder and then stops, so that is my certain legnth, the product stimulates the follicle health, which should "anchor hair to the scalp" it also gives hair strength to grow!

The instructions are to use an egg sized amount inbetween shampooing and conditioning, however I didn't want my hair to feel heavy, so I probably used about half that. The smell is fine, which is usually a problem with other growth products, however it makes my hair so smooth, you can instantly feel it. I leave mine on for roughly 3 minutes and have been using it every time I wash my hair, except for once where I missed it our and the morning after I noticed the difference in the softness. It does recommend to deep condition once every so often, but I'm not a big fan of this because of its a lot of faffing about with waiting for it to set.

The tub is bright pink, which I love, it's a real stand out on the shelf and you can buy many other Lee Stafford which do different things, a growth range, poker straight etc...They also have an Argon Range, which I may try next. Along with the cream I am using at them moment they do a shampoo and conditioner but I opted for the Aussie miracle moist, which I shall be writing a review on shorty!

I can't really tell how much it's grown just because of the product, because as you will know, I have totally changed my hair routine, however if it makes my hair feel soft and if it boosts the growth a little bit I will be happy.

By fertilising your follicles it provides a nice healthy enviornment, the pro growth treatment is packed with protein, which is ideal, because of your hair is made of keratin, which is a protein, the more you give your hair the more it grows!

Overall I rate it a 8/10, as like many people I'll have to wait till it's on offer to buy another tub, because I suspect it won't last long, it makes my hair feel great and gives it a nice bit of volume!

Have you tried any Lee Stafford products? If so share what you think and how it's helped your hair growth!

Hair Detoxing

Hello lovelies!!

I thought I'd create a blog, nothing too serious, but just to create a blog. What's it about? Well, I've decided to go on hair detox, where I'm growing out my not so long blonde locks. For the past three years I've dyed my hair, I'm naturally a dark blonde but went lighter then darker then lighter then darker, bit indecisive I know, but I've always stayed with blonde! I tend to go lighter in the summer, as it tends to lighten more anyway, and then a Softer neutral colour for the winter months.

After this summer, I decided to go for a little change, I had a full fringe put in for the next school term, for the first few weeks it was a bit of a  novelty, but after that I just hated it. I've had three cuts on it, to keep it out of my eyes, but now I'm just pinning it up.

I'm also used to straightening everyday, which obviously isn't doing it the world of good, I having to get it cut more regularly because of the recurring split ends, which is stopping any significant growth.

So...I'm doing this blog to show and share the rate of growth and what tips I've picked up and used, also any products that I'm using to improve the condition and growth.
